Caption

Normal right optic fundus. Fundoscopy angiogram image of the retina of a healthy human eye. The retina is the light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye. This image shows the optic disc (right) and the macula (centre). The optic disc is where blood vessels and the optic nerve enter the retina. The macula is the area of the retina responsible for central vision, which is the sharpest. Angiography is an imaging technique that highlights blood vessels on X-rays by the injection of a contrast medium.
