Bacterial keratitis. Fluorescein dye (with blue excitation) being used to highlight (white and light blue area) an ulcer of the cornea of the eye with an abscess, caused by bacterial keratitis. Keratitis is an inflammation of the cornea, the transparent front part of the eye. In this case, it is due to a bacterial infection. The symptoms of keratitis include eye pain, excessive watering and blurred vision. This is the patient's left eye.
