Central serous choroiditis. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) image of the retina and choroid of a patient with central serous choroiditis. The retina is the light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye. Choroiditis is the inflammation of the choroid, the vascular coating of the eye adjacent to the retina. If the retina is also involved, it is known as chorioretinitis. The red layer represents the retinal pigment epithelium. The retina is above and the choroid is below.
