Parapsoriasis refers to skin disorders that resemble the scaly lesions that form in psoriasis, though the cause is different. Other names for this form of parapsoriasis are pityriasis lichenoides et varioliformis acuta and Mucha-Habermann disease. The cause is not known. Treatment includes ultraviolet therapy, topical steroids, and antibiotics.
