Crystal twinning of gypsum here brings about a pattern of bilateral symmetry suggestive of fishbone. Gypsum is a calcium sulphate mineral (CaSO4.2H2O) of very widespread occurrence worldwide and with many bulk-industrial uses. Sample is from the Provence in France. Actual height is 90 mm.
