Mifepristone. Computer model of a molecule of the drug mifepristone. It is also known as RU-486, and is sold under the brand name Mifeprex. It is a synthetic steroid and mild stimulant. It is also an abortifacent drug, used to end pregnancies by inducing an abortion. This drug was developed by Roussel Uclaf. The molecule's chemical formula is C29.H35.N.O2. Atoms (spheres) are colour-coded: carbon (grey), hydrogen (light blue), nitrogen (dark blue), oxygen (orange).
