Small-spotted catshark (Scyliorhinus canicula), X-ray. This fish is also known as the lesser-spotted dogfish. It is the smallest of sharks, having a slender body, a flattened head and a short round snout. It lives along coasts, dwelling mainly on the sea floor and feeding primarily on crustaceans, molluscs and worms.
