Nathalia Clara Ruth Crane (1913-1998). US poet and novelist. Crane won fame as a child prodigy after the publication of her first book of poetry, The Janitor's Boy, written when she was 10. Her poetry was first published when she was only 9 years old, the publication being unaware that she was a child. She was elected into the British Society of Authors, Playwrights, and Composers in 1925 and later became a professor of English at San Diego State University.
