This view reveals many young stars and other objects normally buried deep inside this starbirth region. Orion A is 1350 light years from Earth, in the constellation of Orion. This image was obtained by the VIRCAM (VISTA Infrared Camera) on the Visible and Infrared Survey Telescope for Astronomy (VISTA). Image published in 2017.
