Caption

Travelling through a wormhole, conceptual animation. A wormhole is a hypothetical tunnel linking two different regions of spacetime. Such a tunnel could allow travel between the regions at a rate faster than light could travel between the regions outside the wormhole. Also known as an Einstein-Rosen bridge, the existence of wormholes is permitted by the theory of relativity, but they have not been detected.
