Hurricane Ike damage. Devastation caused in Galveston, Texas, USA, by Hurricane Ike, which struck the southeast Texas coast on 13th September 2008. Nearly every building on the east side of Galvaston's seawall was destroyed, including this pier. Hurricane Ike is the costliest hurricane in Texas history and the second deadliest US hurricane since 1972. Photographed on 13th September 2008.
