Hurricane Ike flood waters. Oil refinery surrounded by flood waters caused by the storm surge of approaching Hurricane Ike. Ike struck the southeast Texas coast on 13th September 2008. It is the costliest hurricane in Texas history and the second deadliest US hurricane since 1972. Photographed in Galveston, Texas, USA, on 12th September 2008.
