Partial lunar eclipse seen through clouds. The brightly lit portion of the Moon is still reflecting sunlight. The dimmer, orange portion of the Moon has passed into the shadow cast by the Earth. The orange colour is caused by sunlight passing through the Earth's atmosphere. Photographed in 2008.
