Flu ward. Emergency hospital ward set up during the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic, which infected one fifth of the world population and killed between 20 and 50 million. This ward is based at the US Army's Camp Funston in Kansas, USA, which was where the first recorded cases of Spanish flu were reported.
