Caption

Common Nursery Frog, (Cophixalus ornatus). This small microhylid frog grows to around 25mm. It occurs in rainforest and adjacent wet woodlands in tropical north-eastern Australia. It is a common species, and large numbers can be heard calling after heavy rain in the Australia tropical wet season, (November to April).
