Zinc sulphide precipitate. Zinc sulphide (ZnS) precipitate (white) formed by adding 0.25 M solution of zinc sulphate (ZnSO4) drop by drop to 0.25 M solution of sodium sulphide (Na2S). The reaction is Na2S + ZnSO4 -> ZnS + Na2SO4. This is an example of a double replacement reaction.
