This axial T2 weighted MRI shows a few enlarged, tortuous vessels in the cerebral hemisphere and around the region of the transverse sinus on the viewers right. These changes reflect both abnormal arterial feeders to a high flow dural arterial-venous fistula around the region of the transverse sinus and engorged, congested veins due to the high flow malformation increasing the volume of venous blood from AV shunting. There is a large, patent transverse sinus on the opposite side (on viewers left).
