Loggerhead Sea Turtle (Caretta caretta) at rescue facility on the southeast Florida coast. This turtle is the most common sea turtle in Florida, but is threatened by loss of nesting habitat due to development of beach property, and by drowning in shrimp trawls. In addition, Loggerheads are often injured by the propellors of pleasure boats.
