Sea Raven (Hemitripterus americanus). This creature inhabits a rocky bottom and is a voracious eater. Its food includes crustaceans, mollusks, sea urchins and small fishes. It will also eat any bottom invertebrate. When taken out of the water, its belly inflates in such a way that when returned to the water it is unable to submerge. Photographed in the Gulf of St. Laurence, Canada.
