Caption

Petrified feces (also called fossil poop or dung) of turtles as found in alluvial Cretaceous to Paleocene deposits near Mahajanga in Madagascar. The petrified substance of the coprolites is largely composed of the minerals limonite and siderite. Actual size is in the range 10 to 20 cm, see coin for scale.
