Close-up of a group of early stage oak leaf blister galls, or silk button galls, attached to the underside of an oak (Quercus sp.) leaf. The galls are caused by the larva of the oak cynipid wasp (Neuroterus numismalis). Photographed in woodland in Norfolk, UK.
