Squid embryo. Light micrograph of a section through the embryo of a squid. Squid are cephalopods and are marine invertebrates. Here, the eyes, tentacles (arms) and mouthparts are at lower centre. The body is at centre and upper centre, with various internal organs visible, enclosed by the squid's mantle. This specimen was stained with toluidine blue. This is an inverted version of C036/9545.
