Cells stained for proteins. Fluorescence light micrograph of cells stained (green and red) for the cytoskeletal proteins actin and tubulin. Cell nuclei (blue) are also highlighted. The cytoskeleton of a cell consists of protein filaments and microtubules that control cell shape and contribute to cell movement.
