Wasp sting. Swelling in the hand and fingers of a 64-year-old man caused by a wasp sting. The venom in wasp stings causes swelling, pain, itching and redness for up to 48 hours, or more if they become infected. Treatments for stings include cooling with ice and using antihistamine cream.
