Hurricane Katrina damage. Debris left in a tree in front of a building wrecked by Hurricane Katrina. This debris was left after the flood waters caused by Katrina's storm surge receeded. Katrina struck America's Gulf of Mexico coast as a category four hurricane on 29th August 2005. It claimed more than 1000 lives and became the costliest natural disaster in US history. Photographed on 22nd November 2005.
