Postcards from exoplanets. Poster promoting visits to exoplanets, worlds beyond our solar system. In 1995, scientists discovered 51 Pegasi b, an exoplanet is about half the mass of Jupiter, the first planet confirmed to orbit a sun-like star, approximately 50 light-years away in the constellation of Pegasus. Gamma Cephei Ab, HD 114762 b, and PSR B1257+12 B, C and D are extrasolar planets which have also been confirmed. Powerful observatories like NASA's Kepler space telescope continue the hunt for distant planets.
