Fossil museum. Owner and fossils at a small fossil museum. The fossils on the shelves and foreground are ammonites. The rock on the tall stand contains fossilised trilobites, and on the left is a school of fossilised fish. Fossils appear as rock slowly forms around objects buried in mud. As the rock forms, the shape and anatomy of buried animals and plants can be preserved. Photographed in Charente-Maritime, France.
