Caption

Sea fan corals, or gorgonians, on a reef. Sea fans (Alcyonacea) are related to corals, and create a flat branching colony that is arranged perpendicular to the prevailing current, maximising the area from which they can filter plankton from the water. Filmed on the Great Barrier Reef, Australia.
