Warty starfish arm. Close-up of the arm of a warty starfish (Echinaster callosus) on a coral reef. This starfish is named for the large, irregular, white, pink and purple protrusions on its body. It feeds on organic detritus (decomposing organic matter) on coral reefs. This starfish is found in the Red Sea and the Indo-Pacific region. Filmed in Raja Ampat, West Papua, Indonesia.
