Warty starfish arm and tube feet. Close-up of the arm of a warty starfish (Echinaster callosus), with sensory tube feet in use as it moves over a coral reef. This starfish is named for the large, irregular, white, red and purple protrusions on its body. It feeds on organic detritus (decomposing organic matter) on coral reefs. This starfish is found in the Red Sea and the Indo-Pacific region. Filmed in Raja Ampat, West Papua, Indonesia.
