Nanoworms destroying tumour. Iron oxide nanoworms (purple) carrying peptides on their surfaces, and targeting and binding to a tumour (red growth). This causes the destruction of the tumour cells, either directly or by initiating immune responses against them. The nanoworms are shown arriving at the tumour in capillaries, in which red blood cells are shown in a cutaway section.
