Swollen scrotum. This swelling is known as a hydrocele, the accumulation of fluid in the scrotal sac. Hydroceles can be triggered by inflammation, infection or injury to the testis, and are more common in middle aged men. Treatment of a hydrocele is usually through surgical drainage of the accumulated fluid.
