Eczema on a teenage girl's nipple. Eczema is an inflammation of the skin that causes flaking, itching and the development of small blisters. It may be caused by allergic reactions to some materials or drugs, although the majority of cases have no known cause. Soothing ointments may relieve the itching, but treatment should be aimed at the underlying cause. For the same patient after treatment see C002/4045.
