Caption

Carpal tunnel syndrome surgery. Surgeon suturing the incision on a patient's wrist after surgery to treat carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). CTS is a painful condition caused by the compression of the median nerve in the wrist. Severe cases are treated surgically by cutting the carpal ligament in the wrist, thus relieving the pressure on the nerve.
