Amniotic band constriction deformities. Feet of a girl with missing and deformed toes due to amniotic band constriction. This congenital disorder occurs when the foetus becomes entangled in fibrous string-like amniotic bands in the uterus, restricting blood flow and affecting the baby's development. The bands can cause limb deformities, as seen here.
