Galapagos brown pelicans (Pelecanus occidentalis urinator) nesting in red mangroves (Rhizophora mangle). This bird eats mainly fish and amphibians as well as crustaceans. It nests in trees on islands. Mangroves are tropical and subtropical plants that grow in saline coastal habitats. Photographed on Isabela Island, Galapagos Islands.
