Cheetah (Acynonix jubatus). This big cat relies on stealth and speed to catch prey. It can reach a top speed of about 68 miles per hour. Found throughout non-forested areas of Africa south of the Sahara and in Arabia from Iran to Kazakhstan, the cheetah usually feeds on antelopes, young wildebeests and zebras.
