This reconstruction is based on fossils found in Antelope County, Nebraska, USA, dating from around 10 to 12 million years ago during the Miocene. The fossils preserved from this volcanic eruption are part of Ashfall Fossil Beds State Historical Park, Nebraska, USA. Teleoceras lived in what is now North America and south-western France.
