Sand diver lizard (Meroles anchietae), on coastal dunes. This reptile is also known as the shovel-snouted lizard. It is a small diurnal lizard that is native (endemic) to the Namib Desert. Unlike other lizards, which mostly eat insects, this one will also eat plant seeds. Photographed in Namibia.
