Nebraska ashfall fossils, illustration. Fossil skeletons of rhinoceroses, horses and camels, killed by thick falls of volcanic ash around 10 to 12 million years ago, in the late Miocene. The fossils preserved from this volcanic eruption are part of Ashfall Fossil Beds State Historical Park, Nebraska, USA.
