Cut-leaved self-heal (Prunella laciniata) flower. Self-heal has a long history of use in herbal medicine, especially in the treatment of wounds, ulcers and sores. It is believed to have styptic, astringent and diuretic properties, amongst others. This plant is very rare in the UK. Photographed in the Mendip Hills, Somerset, UK.
