Eurotamandua and young, illustration. The adult is feeding on termites in a termite mound. This extinct prehistoric mammal, related to anteaters and pangolins, lived during around 49 million years ago, during the Early to Middle Eocene. It is known from a single fossil, found in Germany. This fossil is 90 centimetres long.
