Prehistoric creodonts, illustration. Creodonts were an order of predatory mammals that lived from 63 to 11 million years ago, from the Paleocene to the Late Miocene. They varied in size. The three seen here are: Sinopa (middle, fox-sized), Patriofelis (top, bear-sized), and Oxyaena (bottom, wolverine-sized).
