Palaeotherium, illustration. This reconstruction shows this extinct prehistoric mammal looking like a rhinoceros, but some reconstructions show this animal as being more horse-like. It lived around 45 million years ago, during the Eocene. It reached around 75 centimetres at the shoulder. Its fossils are found in Europe.
