Merycoidodon, illustration. This extinct prehistoric mammal is an pig-like ungulate that is related to camels. It lived from 38 to 16 million years ago, from the Late Eocene to the Early Miocene. It reached a body length of around 1.4 metres. Its fossils are found in North America.
