Marie Agnes Hinrichs (1892-1979), US zoologist and physiologist. Hinrichs received her doctorate in zoology from the University of Chicago in 1923. She taught at the university from 1926 to 1934, and then received her medical doctorate from Rush Medical College. She then worked at Southern Illinois University and the University of Illinois. Her research focused on the effects of ultraviolet radiation and visible radiation on living matter, especially on developing embryos.
