Cascade red fox (Vulpes vulpes cascadensis) in the process of shedding its winter coat. Red foxes are found throughout Canada, Alaska, and almost all of the contiguous United States. They are also found across all of Europe, and almost all of Asia, including Japan. AS such, they are the most widely distributed wild carnivores in the world.
