James Andrew Harris (born 1932) and Albert Ghiorso (1915-2010), US nuclear chemists. Ghiorso, at right, was the leader of the research team that discovered elements 104 and 105 (rutherfordium and dubnium). Harris was a key member of this team, led by Ghiorso, and one of the first African-American scientists to carry out such work. The work took place at the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory at the University of California, Berkeley, USA, with these two new elements being discovered here in 1969 and 1970.Restrictions:.
