Lava bomb on slope of volcano. Lava bombs are pieces of molten rock ejected from a volcano that cool and solidify in flight. This lava bomb is from an eruption of Pico do Fogo, an active stratovolcano and the highest peak of the island of Fogo in the Cape Verde islands. Cape Verde is located in the Atlantic west of Africa. This activity occurred between 30 November and 3 December 2014.
