Zero-gravity 3D printer mechanism. Close-up of the printing mechanism of Russia's first 3D printer for the production of metal objects in zero gravity. The printer would be used in space, such as on the International Space Station in Earth orbit. It is being exhibited at the 4th Young Scientists' Forum U-NOVUS-2017 in Tomsk, Russia. A number of techniques have been developed. The first commercial 3D printers were marketed from around 2003. Photographed on 17 May 2017.
